Following the research project on this topic, the Brandeis Institute held a roundtable for the discussion of the weakening of the Israeli government’s legal advisory system and abolishing the independence of government legal advisors.
The panel was held on the campus of the College of Management on July 9, 2023, and was attended by, among others, former Minister of Justice Dan Meridor, retired Vice President of the Supreme Court Prof. Eliakim Rubinstein, retired Supreme Court Judge Meni Mazuz, former Deputy Attorney General for Economic-Fiscal Affairs Adv. Didi Lachman Messer, and the former legal adviser of the Ministry of Communications, Adv. Noga Rubinstein.
