03/27/2023 How Democratic Backslides Effect The Economy

What lessons can be drawn from the impact of the regime coups in Hungary and Poland on their respective economies, specifically in relation to Israel? To shed light on this question, a team of economists and lawyers from Hungary and Poland, along with researchers from Israel, will present and analyze trends at an international conference organized by the Brandeis Institute. The conference will explore how legislative changes have affected national security, labor relations, and scientific research in the three countries.
